"Engraving on Pyrex Ovenware is beautifully done in a graceful, flowing pattern which makes the dish particularly decorative on the table." "Many people select the engraved dishes when they intend them for wedding,, Christmas, or "house guest" gifts." --From Getting the Most Out of Foods, Corning Glass Works.

Marks: Pyrex 043 (dish) 634 (cover)

Era: 1910s-1930s

Condition:  Vintage, good condition, slight use marks.

Care: If foods "bake on" to the edge of a PYREX dish, a metal dish "mitt" or cloth and cleansing powder, or steel wool will quickly rub it off. An even easier--no-rub-at-all-way to clean PYREX of these "baked dry" particles, is to fill the dish with cold water [make sure the dish is not hot before putting in cold water], add a little washing powder, and heat it in the oven or immerse it in a pan of cold water on top of the stove and heat until boiling or from ten to fifteen minutes. Then wash and dry the PYREX dish, hold it up to the light and look through its spotlessly clear, sparkling, transparent surface, and you can actually see that it is clean." (From PYREX Experts Book on Better Cooking, 1925)
