Sheffield Wood-Handled Carving Set, Knife, Fork and Steel, s/3

Vintage Sheffield Wood-Handled Carving Knife, Fork and Sharpening Steel. All three pieces are a rich brown with a rounded point at the end of the handle. The handles have a lovely smooth shine with color variations in the grain that include creams, browns, reds and blacks. The overall look is of a rich dark brown wood. A very nice carving set for entertaining occasions especially holidays or dinner parties. A note on etiquette: generally, the carving knife should be sharpened in the kitchen, but when you have a beautiful set to show off, the steel can be brought to the table and laid horizontally above the platter with the handle facing left so in a position ready for use.

Marks: Knife is marked Westall Richardson, Stainless Steel, Made in Sheffield England

Size: Knife - 1" x 13"; Fork - 1" x 10"; Steel - 1" x 11"

Condition:  Vintage. Very slight scratches on stainless steel part of knife from use but still has an excellent shine. Fork and Steel have a bit more color and use marks at the end of the prongs and on the steel part, but overall good. Handles are excellent.
