This hefty vintage cookbook is magical with darling stories about the authors life at the start of each of the five sections, beautiful hand-drawn illustrations on every page and simple to complex recipes. The section entitled Cooking from Antique Cookbooks is full of historical information regarding cooking techniques and ingredients but also recipes from the 1400s and 1600s that were modernized by the author in the 1960s.
